Public Private Partnerships (PPP’s)

PPP’s have become the preferred mechanism for government to build infrastructure.
PPP’s have become the preferred mechanism for government to build infrastructure that increases its ability to effectively deliver services to various communities and grow the economy. Typically, PPP’s have been employed to build hospitals, toll roads, prisons, government head offices and call-centres. Government departments are inclined to make use of the PPP mechanism if its structure is affordable, offers value for money and transfers the risk to the private institution with whom it contracts.
TurnerLegal acts as a transaction advisor to both government departments (municipalities in particular) and private enterprises.
Offering support for the PPP project at conception stage, through feasibility approval, procurement of service providers and awarding of contracts, up to the project execution.

We have worked on the development of a PPP project for a multi-purpose sports complex in the KwaZulu Natal region as well as the management of holiday destinations in the Witzenberg municipality and are constantly exploring the viability of PPP projects to establish enhanced service delivery mechanisms for government.
